Recipe: Pesto – Paleo, GF, DF, Egg-Free, Vegan

An easy pesto recipe you can use to dress salads, spruce up veggies, add to burgers, and impress your diet restricted and non-diet restricted friends. Once you’ve got these ingredients gathered, it’s just a matter of pureeing them in the food processor.


  • 1/4 lb basil leaves
  • 1/4 cup raw, soaked cashews
  • 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/8 tsp cracked black pepper
  • Cold pressed olive oil
  • 1 T minced garlic

Place all ingredients except oil in a food processor. Puree. Then add the oil slowly while processing until reaching a smooth consistency with pesto.
