Kirstin CareyKirstin Carey

Kirstin Carey, Certified Holistic Nutritionist is the original “Freak at the Table.” She loves to enlighten people on the joys of food, health, and nutrition, and finding which foods work best for their bodies, their goals, and their lives!

After discovering she had food allergies and Celiac Disease, Kirstin’s threw everything she had into learning about true wellness through food and all her (seemingly) random health issues finally made sense! She closed her successful consulting company and opened Nourish™, a gluten-free soy-free restaurant that focuses on delicious dishes to help people optimize their mind, body, and soul.

This cheesesteak eating, native Philadelphian used to hide her veggies in her napkin and hated anything that came from the sea. Now she’s a Certified Holistic Nutritionist, restaurant owner, and nutritional consultant living in Scottsdale, and has never been more healthy and balanced.

With more than 20 years experience as a business owner, real estate investor, consultant, and professional speaker, Kirstin earned the prestigious Certified Speaking Professional (CSP) designation in 2009 held by only 10% of people in the International Federation of Professional Speakers, and served for three years as a Director on the Board for the National Speakers Association.

When she’s not working with food, speaking to groups about holistic nutrition and health, or managing Nourish™, you can usually find Kirstin with her dogs Holly, Olive, and Roxy or with her husband Anthony, a vegan body builder, Certified Personal Trainer, and gym owner.

Corporate Executive Chef

Dan SantosDan Santos

Chef Dan Santos knows food from every angle. He is the consummate learner, educator, and some might say… magician.

With experience that spans 25 years, this California native turned his passion into an eclectic but well-rounded career. When other kids were out playing sports, Chef Dan was in the kitchen developing recipes and sharpening knives. His career began as a young teen working in fast food, then as a cook in the Navy managing 3 squares a day for 200 seamen making everything from scratch. After culinary school, Chef worked as a Director or Executive Chef in assisted living, The Flying J, Compass Group, the Surgical Specialty Hospital of Arizona, and Freschef – furthering his knowledge and interest in personal health as it relates to food, nutrition, and diet.

Chef rounded out his training in the 2-year Herbalism program at SWIHA which included classes in nutrition, coaching, and holistic medicine. He has been the Executive Chef at Nourish™ since they opened in 2010 creating and offering dish options that cater to gluten-free, dairy-free, vegan, and carnivorous eaters as well making difficult-to-serve diners thrilled.
